With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

I was promoting my previous album, Come To Me, in Washington through a radio interview and after the interview, I changed my plans and decided it was best that I return back home to Canada. The same day as my radio interview, when I checked into my hotel, afterword and turned on the news, the first cases of the coronavirus were being reported in the Seattle area. I was concerned that the border would be shut down for travel, so I cut my trip and plans short.

How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

Plans were in the works for me to continue promoting my previous album, Come To Me, through Washington and Oregon, but those plans had to change very quickly. Plans were also in the works for two Vancouver area concerts to help promote my previous album, but those plans changed very quickly.

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?

I found that when the virus was becoming a concern in Canada, I was watching way to much news and that blurred my ability to continue songwriting for a while, so I stopped writing for about a year and continued again when I felt that I could focus once again writing on a more positive level. In the meantime, I started researching different ways I could continue to promote my music better on line to a wider audience and that helped me to prepare for my new album, Nature, which is fairly new and I will have enough projects now to work on with the new album that will keep me busy for at least the next 6 months. I am fairly new at putting my music out there on streaming sites like Spotify and Apple, for instance, so that will also be my next projects as well, to start developing a stronger presence and audience on those sites.

As things are reopening & restrictions are lifting have you booked any new gigs? Tours? Etc? If your region is still under restriction, how are dealing with the Covid third wave?

No gigs or tours to consider at the moment. Single releases, video work and a lot of creative promotion on my new album, Nature, planned for the first half of 2022.

Favourite Starlite Room Moment?

Starlite Room and Starlite Sessions are new to me. Thank you to my Publicist, Eric Alper, for introducing my music and songs to Starlite and I am thrilled to find out more about how you are helping to promote Canadian talent.

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?

I am excited to introduce my music and some of my songwriting to a new audience. I hope that everyone enjoys what they hear, because I certainly love what I do!
